The DBM20 buffer modules from TDK-Lambda can bridge a 250 ms failure of the input voltage of a 24 V DC power supply in DIN rail design. During normal operation, the energy is stored in the electrolytic capacitors of the DBM20. If the AC power supply is interrupted for a short period of time, the DBM20 continues to supply power to the load, enabling a safe and controlled shutdown of the devices. The DBM20 can be set to fixed or variable buffer mode. In fixed mode it supplies power when the input voltage drops to 22.4 V, in variable mode when the input voltage drops by 1 V. Several buffer modules can be connected in parallel for additional bridging time. The product status can be queried remotely via a DC-OK relay or locally via the LED indicators. The output voltage can also be switched off to prevent unsafe discharging of the stored energy.
TDK-Lambda offers a very wide variety of powerful, robust and flexible power supplies and modules for power supplies. Whether classic industrial power supplies, DIN rail power supplies or on-board power supply solutions from the socket to the POL with AC/DC front ends, intermediate bus converters, isolating DC/DC brick converters and non-isolating POL converters.
