Scaler

A video scaler is a device or technology that converts video content into different resolutions and image formats in order to adapt it to different displays or projectors. The main purpose of a video scaler is to increase (upscaling) or decrease (downscaling) the resolution of a video so that it is optimally displayed on the target device.

Modern video scalers support various input and output interfaces such as HDMI, VGA, SDI or DisplayPort and are able to process content with high precision.
