PY Series
DC/DC ultra-wide-range converters for railway technology
The PY family consists of PCB-mountable DC-DC converters in various housing sizes with output powers from 20 to 200W. The most outstanding features of this family are the extremely wide input voltage range of 8.5 to 160V (depending on the model), which makes these devices a “one-fits-most” converter, the high insulation resistance between input and output and the suitability for railroad applications on rail vehicles in accordance with EN 50155.
The wide temperature range and low heat generation due to the high efficiencies as well as the high shock and vibration resistance thanks to the encapsulated design make these devices suitable for almost any situation. Additionally available heat sink kits simplify integration if contact cooling is not possible.
