The DDA devices are extremely compact DC-DC converters with output powers up to a maximum of 500W for mounting on a DIN rail. The devices use our point-of-load converters from the i6A series without galvanic isolation. The deliberate omission of primary/secondary isolation enables outstanding efficiencies of up to 95% with a very wide range of input and output voltages. With an input voltage range of 9-53Vdc, the devices can be operated universally on bus voltages of 12V, 24V and also 48V. The output voltage range extends from 3.3V to 24V. Typical fields of application are industrial applications as well as test and measurement systems in which all system voltages are referenced to a common ground. No galvanic isolation is required here and the DDA series is a flexible solution for branching off additional voltages from an existing low-voltage bus. The DDA series comprises 3 models - one type with nominal 12V (adjustable from 3.3V to 15V) and maximum 20A current; one type with dual output +12V/20A and +5V/20A (each adjustable from 3.3V to 15V); and another type with dual output +12V/14A and -12V/8A (each adjustable from 3.3V to 24V). The output power of a DDA is 250W with convection cooling. Thanks to a forced air flow, the types with dual output can be loaded up to a maximum of 500W.
