The components in the TC4451/TC4452 series are single-channel MOSFET drivers. MOSFET drivers are power drivers suitable for driving large MOSFETs and bipolar transistors with insulated gate electrodes, so-called IGBTs (=Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors). The TC4451/4452 are characterized by finely tuned rise and fall times, as well as an adapted progression delay of the rising and falling edges. The greatly reduced cross currents resulting from this technology increase the energy efficiency of these components compared to similar products. The output can withstand up to 1.5 A reverse inductive current of any polarity without damage or logical interference. All connections are fully isolated against electrostatic discharges up to 4 kV. The inputs can be controlled directly via TTL or CMOS (3 V to 18 V). In addition, the integrated hysteresis of 300 mV reduces the noise sensitivity and allows control with slowly rising or falling waveforms. Thanks to the various designs in combination with wide temperature ranges, the components of the TX4451/4452 series are suitable for almost any application.
