MCP9700 / MCP9800
Temperature sensor for thermal monitoring
With the temperature sensors of the analog MCP9700 and digital MCP9800 series, Microchip offers thermal monitoring with high accuracy and a small footprint at a low price. These Linear Active Thermistor Integrated Circuit (LAT-IC) sensors fully cover the extended industrial temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. The high linearity in the range from 0°C to 70°C and the high accuracy of 0.5°C at the calibration point of 25°C also make these sensors interesting for measurement tasks outside of conventional temperature management. The wide input voltage range of 2.3 V to 5.5 V and the low power consumption of just 6 µA (MCP9700) or 200 µA (MCP9800) also make them suitable for use in mobile systems.
