For AC voltage applications with high frequencies and heavy surge currents that require short current paths and powerful connections.
Capacitors of the E53 series are characterized by a particularly low series resistance and high surge current resistance. Thanks to the use of unique metallization patterns, SINECUT™ cutting technology and sophisticated winding geometries, they are particularly suitable for damping GTO thyristors and in filters with high effective currents. In addition to their favorable ratio of capacitance to volume, the E53 capacitors are characterized by very good self-healing capability without loss of capacitance.
Their very low self-inductance also allows them to be used in high-current applications in the medium frequency range.
All in one: high RMS and peak currents and low self-inductance
The capacitors in the E53 product family are housed in flame-retardant housings (V0) and encapsulated with resin. Both in the design and in the conservative electrical layout, great importance was attached to reliable operation even under difficult environmental conditions.
The electrical connection is made via robust axial connections with internal threads.
Electronicon offers film capacitors "Made in Germany". From the coating of the film to the winding and manufacturing of the capacitors, the entire process takes place at the plant in Gera. Film capacitors offer various advantages in power electronics and are environmentally friendly in production.
