AC-DC converter with OVC III @ EN 61558
In some applications, single-phase or multi-phase AC-DC power supplies are permanently connected to central distribution panels, e.g. electric vehicle chargers or transformers and power supplies permanently connected to the mains.
In these locations, the voltage transformers require additional overvoltage protection (OVCIII) due to the stronger transient amplitudes and energy levels compared to that required when supplied from a wall socket. Power supplies for OVCIII ranges consequently require improved specifications for voltage strengths and clearances compared to the more common types rated for OVC II.
These ARCH AC-DC converters meet the OVCIII specification.
