A particular advantage of the POWERSEM 17 mm bridge rectifiers is that everything has been adopted from the previous 30 mm models with the exception of the height: All new rectifiers with a height of 17 mm have the same electrical and thermal properties as their 30 mm predecessors, which greatly simplifies their use in many applications.
In the three-phase bridge rectifier modules, the PSDS 62 (63 A at 110°C housing temperature) and PSDS 82 (88 A at 110°C) have been joined by the PSDS 63 (75 A at 100°C) and PSDS 83 (100 A at 100°C), which have been available since the end of 2008. Also new are four different single-phase bridge rectifiers with the same dimensions: PSBS 62 (52 A at 100°C), PSBS 63 (60 A at 100°C), PSBS 82 (72 A at 100°C) and PSBS 83 (88 A at 100°C).
More powerful bridge rectifiers in a slightly larger design and 17 mm height are three-phase PSDS 112 (127 A at 90°C), PSDS 162 (175 A at 90°C) and PSDS 192 (248 A at 90°C) as well as single-phase PSBS 112 (84 A at 100°C), PSBS 162 (122 A at 100°C) and PSBS 192 (174 A at 100°C). All new types are available with dielectric strengths from 800 to 1800 V. A higher packing density is possible with the new modules, which is why further 17 mm power modules from POWERSEM are in preparation.

POWERSEM is a German manufacturer with more than 20 years of experience in producing very high quality power semiconductor modules, represented by HY-LINE Power Components. The company specializes in insulated, rugged molded multichip power semiconductor modules, including but not limited to:
POWERSEM was founded by the physicist and scientist Madan Mohan Chadda, who had studied in India and England, in 1985 in Schwabach near Nuremberg. Today the company is continued in his spirit by his son Ashok Chadda.
POWERSEM and HY-LINE offer multichip power modules in numerous configurations for all common applications.
