SMxxx Smart-Magnetometer bieten präzise magnetische Feldmessungen. Die Sensoren kombinieren Giant Magneto Resistance-(GMR-) (SM124) bzw. Tunnel Magneto Resistance (TMR-) (SM225, SM324) Sensorelemente mit einfach zu verwendender digitaler Signalverarbeitung.
Im Gegensatz zu Halleffekt-Sensoren ist GMR in der richtigen Ebene empfindlich für optimale Stromerfassung und einfache
mechanische Schnittstellen. GMR und TMR bieten auch mehr Empfindlichkeit, höhere Präzision, höhere Geschwindigkeit und viel geringeres Rauschen als Halleffekt-Ssensoren.
Ein digitaler Ausgang liefert präzise, programmierbare Schwellenwerte. Eine I²C- (SM124, SM324) oder SPI-Schnittstelle (SM225) liefert Magnetfelddaten sowie eine Kalibrierungsschnittstelle.
