PCAP Touch Controller

EMC-optimized touch controller for up to 10 fingers

The PCAP controller plays an important role in the integration of the PCAP system. It monitors the entire surface of the touch sensor for possible touch events, evaluates them and passes them on to the host system if they are successfully detected. At the same time, it must suppress so-called ghost touch events, distinguish water and other liquids such as blood in medical applications from fingers, interpret gestures and must not be irritated by electromagnetic fields.

The controller has a powerful CPU that controls the measuring process. The firmware can be controlled in a variety of ways with 200 parameters, which our engineers in the laboratory carry out on a project-specific basis. Once the configuration has been determined, it can be transferred to series production without individual calibration.
